“We currently have four separate buildings with about 20 doors, 3 gates, and 5 roll up doors combined. All buildings are on one access control system which is a combination of HID Origo virtual cards and Alarm.com management via Brinks (Skyline Security). We implemented this system since we have so many doors to control and we wanted to avoid having key men to open and close all the various doors each day. We also have secured areas in one of our facilities that leverages internal doors. I’ve found the system isn’t perfect (we occasionally get false alarms especially if the internet happens to be down) but overall it’s very reliable and it’s been a game changer for us not to have to be physically present at a door or gate to open it for a customer or contractor. Skyline did recommend moving away from HID to an Alarm.com only system now that Alarm.com has better functionality, but since we already have about 60 users with access, I didn’t want to change over our stack, so I’d recommend that you be open minded to their recommendations if they can implement something better than what we have.”

“We have been using Skyline for at least the past 3 years. We use electronic deadbolts and thermostats that they provide for all of our apartment communities. Maria and her team do a great job at delivering the products when we need them. They are also quick to replace any items that don't work properly. She also does a great job getting the maintenance and management team set up to use and program the system. My favorite aspect of the system is that we can program the entire building to lock the doors and set thermostats during construction. This saves an enormous amount of time and energy. The tenants really like that they can adjust the temperature while they are away from home. It is also useful that they can unlock their door for maintenance from work, so they don't need to take time off to be there to allow someone in.”
